Artist Statement
Department of Zero Sum is a multi-media outlet for artist Andrew Wilkinson.
The department serves as a conduit for contemporary artworks in the visual arts, music and literature.
Work deals with astrophysics and the relationship to theology.
These subjects supposedly at different ends of the spectrum are closely related by ideology and symbolism and work harmoniously depicting heavily from the heavens.
The big questions asked in science are mirrored in religion.
This rich source for inspiration drives me to look for opportunities to expression our challenges in finding meaning and belonging.
